Engineering mode: press Ctrl+Shift+F12 and the type the password messner.

Drive Replacement

During hot swap to replace a hard disk, after remove the bad hard disk, wait one minute until the state is removed, and then insert a new hard disk, the state will be rebuilding.

When a hard disk is faulty, the Pool/LUN state changes to faulty. After the hard disk is rebuilt, the state will change to online.

  • For Removed/Faulted state. The fault light will be illuminated, it can be replaced by hot swap physically.

  • For Probation state. The fault light will not be illuminated, and can not do Copy to Hotspare, so replace it by hot swap physically.
    The Bus 1 Enclosure 1 Disk 11 show Probation state, and Copy to Hotspare failed.

  • For others state. Must to do Copy to Hotspare, wait drive state change to Faulted, and then replace it by hot swap physically.
