Expand Hard Disk

The procedure to add a new disk on HPE 3PAR 8200:

Insert the disk in the empty magazines.
Open the putty session using the IP address and login.
Run the command to check if there are any spare chunklets servicemag status.
Run the command admitpd <pdid>.
Run the command tunesys.

Troubleshooting

CASE: There are no disks with free space in the system

The user divided Virtual Volumes in thin mode. The allocated capacity exceeded the available capacity of CPG. Due to data growth, the CPG capacity was full and an error was reported. Some Virtual Volumes experienced high Write I/O latency.

Thin provisioned VV VV.R5.CAS.10t.03 unable to allocate SD space from CPG FC_r5

The allocated capacity of VVs is 38,746GB.

The available capacity of CPG is 35,046GB.

The Write I/O latency of the block device in the business system is high.

Workaround:

Delete unused VVS to release the available capacity of CPG, or add more disk expand CPG to increase the available capacity.

Workaround:

controlsr export is a command for exporting system report data for external analysis, showing that multiple controlsr tasks running simultaneously conflict, resulting in task failure.
