Locate the DIMM in slot 0. DIMM slot numbering is labelled on the memory module cover. The leftmost slot when you remove the director is numbered 0 and the numbers increase as you move towards the center of the director.

Push down on the socket ejectors on either side of the DIMM in slot 0. Touch only the outside edges of the DIMM as you pull it straight up and out of its slot.

Handling only the outside edges, align the DIMM with the currently empty slot 0. Push the DIMM straight down into the slot firmly and evenly until the socket ejectors close against the DIMM.
