Both XCLI and IBM XIV Storage Management GUI management is run over TCP port 7778.

Module


Module USB-to-serial connections

  • USB-1 port in module 1 connects to Serial port in Module 3.
  • USB-1 port in module 2 connects to Serial port in Module 1.
  • USB-1 port in module 3 connects to Serial port in Module 2.

And so on for each group of 3 modules.
1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15

  • USB-2 port in module 5 connects to Swtich 1 (Lower switch).
  • USB-2 port in module 6 connects to Swtich 2 (Upper switch).
  • USB-2 port in module 1 connects to UPS 1 (Lower UPS).
  • USB-2 port in module 2 connects to UPS 2 (Middle UPS).
  • USB-2 port in module 3 connects to UPS 3 (Upper UPS).
  • USB-2 port in module 4 connects to ATS.

Shutdown & Startup

Shudown:

  1. System > System Settings > Shutdown System.
  2. Waitting all leds are off.
  3. Turn off all 3 output circuit breakers on all 3 UPSes.
  4. Power off all 3 UPSes.
  5. Unplug left side battery on all 3 UPSes.
  6. Turn off all 4 output circuit breakes on ATS.

Startup:

  1. Check ATS power source input led is ok.
  2. Plug left side battery on all 3 UPSes.
  3. Turn on all 4 output circuit breakes on ATS, check output led is ok.
  4. Turn on all 3 output circuit breakers on all 3 UPSes.
  5. Press the 3 "Test" buttons simultaneously on all 3 UPSes.
  6. Waitting system startup.
