The SQLServer cluster resource unable to bring online

Symptoms

The SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) cluster resource goes to a "failed" state and doesn't come online.

Cause

  1. Check the cluster disk drive letter/path is correct.
  2. Check the service account credentials is valid. Such as error 1069.

Solution

  1. Analyze the database log file ERRORLOG.
  2. Type the correct credentials in SQL Server Configuration Manager -> Services -> SQL Server service.
